Platja de Llevant

Platja de Llevant

Going up the eastern part of the peninsula close to the natural area of Salinas, we meet Platja de Llevant (east beach), which is a virgin beach, an outstanding beauty with foreign dimensions. The sand is thin and white, the sea is always clean and its clear brightness makes it look like a swimming pool; furthermore in the surroundings there is plenty of kiosks and it is possible to rent beach umbrellas and hammocks. Despite this, tourist numbers are high but never reaching an excess, so that this beach leaves to the observer a feeling of uncontaminated; note that this is one of the favourite beaches among naturists. Platja de Llevant –also known as “Tanga”, name of a popular restaurant-bar at its entrance- is very close to a wonderful beach on the other side, the Platja de SesIlletes, to such an extent that they are called “the twins”.
